Metex Technology Limitada
Metex Technology Limitada (“MTL”), wholly owned subsidiary of Metex LLC (Acquiree of Metex Resources Ltd), was formed under Chilean Law in Year 2005.
Metex LLC and Ingesol Ltda, a partner of Metex LLC have invested time and money since 2003 in identifying business opportunities and establishing a business basis in order to develop the LIXS2 patent technologies into a profitable business and/or use the patents in its own or third party ores or ore deposits.
In March 2003, Ingesol Ltda., a partner of Metex LLC received title to its sulphide ores heap-leaching process as US Patent Office 6,569,391 B1; this patent serves to leach sulphides, including copper, lead, zinc, molybdenum and silver (and other sulphides); gold leaching may be possible with it. In addition, Ingesol has a patent to leach Cu concentrates and a patent to leach sulphides with an electrochemical process; the further development of these patent processes is seen as an important investment objective and a source of large scale business returns.
METEX has been legally authorized by INGESOL Ltda., owner of the three patent processes to leach sulfide ores, including copper ores, all of which are legally valid and standing as of this date. Legal standards relating to the validity, enforceability, and scope of protection of the intellectual property rights derived from the patents arise from the legal standing of the respective government granting institutions, the US Patent Office and the Chilean Patent Office, and from their respective terms and legal rights derived from them to the legal owners INGESOL Ltda., by way of the authorization to test, develop and commercially utilize said patents, granted to METEX by its legal owner INGESOL Ltda.
METEX enters into confidentiality agreement with its employees, consultants, and customers, license agreements with third parties and generally seeks to control access to, and distribution of, patent processes and its associated technology, documentation and other proprietary information.
MTL carries out laboratory and industrial test of said patent processes with a commercial purpose.
MTL develops concepts, procedures and tests towards the metallurgical extraction and commercial production of high-value added copper metal and other metals products, including high-value metals or compounds, from ores, tailings or other metallurgical by-products, including for example Gallium, Germanium, Titanium, Copper powder, Mo powder, Mo trioxide, Gold powder, high purity copper sulphate, or of any other metals and compounds of high commercial value added.
