Domeyko Project

Regional

This mining district has been evaluated with significant mineralization potential, preferably within an area with adequate infrastructure, and within the arid zones of northern Chile lacking vegetation in order to avoid getting involved in environmental issues.

The project area belongs to what is known as the Cretaceous porphyry belt of Central Chile characterized by an Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous volcanic sequence with interbedded marine sedimentary horizons (Bandurrias Fm. in the region) intruded by different intermediate plutons (dioritic to monzodioritic in the region).

Major known copper deposits in the region comprise the Dos Amigos and the La Union porphyry copper deposits located west and southwest of the surveyed area.

Domeyko Project Potential Primary Target Area:

La Verde – Dos Amigos Zone (10 Km. Long by 2 Km. Wide)

1)    Target A: La Verde NW extension up to La Primavera (4 Km.)

• Sub-surface shear – zone in porphyry rock: 50M tons estimated potential @1.3% Cu
• Overburden covered veins (not evident in the field) and skarn deposits: 5 – 10 M tons potential @1.4% Cu

2)    Target B: La Primavera to NW Sector (1 Km.)

• Skarn: 3 M tons potential @1.8% Cu

3)    Target C:  La Calera Target (1.5 Km. x 1.5 Km.)

• Disseminated porphyry copper potential 50M tons @1.2% Cu

4)    Target D:  San Antonio W Sector (0.5 K., x 0.2 Km.)

• Disseminated porphyry copper potential 30M tons @1.0% Cu

Exploration claims (“pedimentos”)

Metex owns the exploration claims at the Domeyko district, covering 155 square Km. (part free-land, part over staking over E. Spasojevic and J. Pora’s represented HuBay Resources claims (Anglo American). New exploration claims have been established by Metex on the northern zone of the project area covered by transported gravels.
